Manhattan comics

Despite the slightly sketchy outside (you have to go inside, then up some stairs, nothing too traumatic), and the small (but seemingly resourceful) collection, I like this shop a lot. As you all (obviously would not) know, despite the fact that it’s the most “main stream” of nyc’s comic book shops, forbidden planet is my favorite because they’ve got a huge selection of memorabilia and the best customer service I have ever experienced, and so I compare everything to their standards.

Customer service was a real A+ though, nice guys behind the counter and easy to browse. Overall, a swell option for you to find your comic book fix. Warning though, not much in the way of trinkets, aside from fancy collector’s action figures. This is purely comics.

They passed my “do you have it” test (in which I check for a few comics I read and see if they have all the current and back issues and etc).

Check their website for when to go (they have good sales). Until the end of march, they’re having a pretty great march madness sale.
